So said no one ever found out who did it or why. It was in 1919 in Civington County, Al. I do recall something said about a gambling debt, but that is hard to believe, but none the less, they found him in the early morning hours, shortly after daylight, in a ditch. But another story said it was real hard to identify him because the birds and all had gotten to him. If anyone has heard anything on this, please let me know! Thanks, Ani
