    1. Misleading Information
    2. Mary Ellen, Thanks for being this to everyone's attention !! You are VERY correct. For instance the Alabama State deaths 1908-1956 has a lot of the death certificates that are ON the actual rolls of microfilm not listed in Ancestry. For instance Joseph Aplin is NOT listed as not having died in Alabama by only using Ancestry's record, yet I have a copy of his & several death certificate for Covington County, AL. He was never transcribed to the lists. So just because you don't see them does not mean they are not there, or here is another thing to watch out for, misspellings. Carpenter can be Carpender ! Aplin & that is what IS written on the death Cert. can have been typed into Ancestry as ALPIN !! So please use Caution using the records & look elsewhere for information also. Also, please use those Family Trees they have with a grain of salt. I would feel safe to say 3/4 if not more or nothing more than copies that someone typed in of another copy that someone did & is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG ! If you do your research you will find the truth. You may pick up a tip by looking at them, but don't put a lot of thought into them unless you know it is correct. Have a nice day !! Lisa
