Hello all! I am looking for information in regards to my second great aunt & uncle, Herman Adolphus Bell & Lenora Ann SHREVE Bell. Uncle Herman was born to Thomas & -?- Bell in January 1870, Aunt Lenora Ann was born 26 November 1870 to *William Clement & Nancy Elizabeth STALLINGS Shreve. Uncle Herman & Aunt Lenora were married by April 1895 when their oldest child Alma was born. Their second child Allene was born in February 1898. From census records their other children were: Vernon, Maggie & James Clement Bell. In 1900 they were all still in Butler County (Oaky Streak), 1910 Crenshaw County (Aiken) same in 1920, 1930 Covington (Andalusia). Margaret Hazeltine Kirkpatrick: (Mother) B: 1 Apr 1840 D: 21 Nov 1917 Butler County, AL Both of them are buried in Oakey Streak Cemetery. The tombs are enclosed by a cedar picket fence. Nancy Elizabeth Stallings, daughter of Reuben Reid and Lenora Anna (Brogdon) Stallings, was born in Oakey Streak, Butler County, Alabama on October 1, 1852. Nancy Elizabeth Stallings married William Clement Shreve in Crenshaw County, Alabama on January 4, 1870. William was born on September 9, 1847. He was the son of Thomas Shreve born 1816 and Eliza Ann Shreve born March 21, 1822. Thomas and Eliza are buried in the woods at the old Shreve Homestead, Butler County, AL. Nancy Elizabeth (Stallings) Shreve died February 24, 1909. William Clement Shreve died April 29, 1924. Both are buried in Magnolia Cemetery, Andalusia, Alabama.
