Is the publication you referred to a current one? According to "The Early History of Covington County Alabama 1821-1871" by Wyley Donald Ward, Wyndal's mother was a Carter, b. in S.C. Merle

The history I was referring to is from "Memorial Record of Alabama", Vol. I, p. 765-766 Published by Brant & Fuller (1893) Madison, WI. I have no access to records in SC, NC, and AL unless they are on line. Another researcher gave me the name Rebecca Arnett born in NC and gave a date of marriage as 1804 in North Carolina.
