It also shows that her husband died as a result of the War. So he was dead before 1866. My records show Alex and Rebecca Mitchell had 2 sons: Isias Tobias "Tobe" and James Alex (Elick) Franklin Mitchell. Rebecca also had a daughter named Mary Frances Elmeta "Molly" who was born 7 June 1865, possibly dau. of Alex. In 1867 Rebecca had another daughter: Caroline "Callie" (my grandmother). Although she went by the Mitchell name, stories in our family is that she was the daughter of a Jim Williams who was working on Rebecca's farm. In 1870 he was shown on the census with a recently married wife. He was listed between Rebecca's father and brother. It is obvious Callie could not have been the daughter of Alex Mitchell. About 1869 Rebecca married Martin (or Mastin) Pickett Brewer. Hope this helps, Frances
