Nelson was born Kie Washington Nelson on 17 Jun 1887 in Coffee county Alabama. He died 1 May 1972 Crestview, Okaloosa County, Florida. He married Beaetta Sallie Gatlin in 1892 in Alabama. Kie's parents were Georgie Washington Nelson, born 27 Oct 1864 Covington County Alabama. He died 29 April 1934 in Coffee County and is buried at Pine Level Cemetery. He married Elizabeth Jane "LIZA" Maddox on 20 Sep 1882 in Coffee County. Now there are 2 George Washington, which were uncle and nephew. Our GW father was James M. born 20 Feb 1837 Covington County and died 1910 in Alabama, he married Emma LIsa Smith born 1843 in Covington County and died in 1910 Coffee county, not sure their place of burial and James M. father was John Nelson born 1803 in Alabama and he married Sarah Clifton born abt 1805 in SC.
