I dont have a lot of direct info right now. I am connected through the Cross Family in that my GGGrandfather 's Sister was Happy Ealum sne married John C Josey Son of James Josey and Nancy Salter, who my understanding is were the Josey ancestors for most of the Josey families in South Alabama. Anyway Happy and John C had a Daughter named Harriet who married James Cross they had children that included John W ,Hubbard, Bolton , James Earnest, and a couple of more.I believe the James C Cross that was the Father of these Children was the Brother of the Ambrose Cross you mentioned. I have talked to a bunch of people in the Red Level area a couple of weeks ago who are from this family. I believe that they mentioned that there were other Crosses in the area that were Cousins of this family. Was AJ Cross a son of Ambrose I think I talked to his Widow briefly. There was one Lady who recently passed a way who had done a lot of Work on the Cro! ss Family though her son now has the information and is a little reluctant to work on it. Maybe we can bribe him or something because I am interested in the Josey stuff. I think Ambrose and James C Parents were William and Nancy, but I dont remember the rest of the story off the top of my head. As to the Josey side I have talked to Bud Josey who is probably the world expert on them, though the books he has written on them are only available at the Library of congress and at Salt Lake City, though he has some stuff that is available at the Andalusia Public Library. He as far as understand not posted any trees on line, so it is hard for me to identify the Josey ancestor Beulah that you mentioned though I would imagine she fits in this group somewhere. I am sorry I cant give you more definitive stuff at he moment, but with a little effort I think we could figure out a lot. If you want to e-mail me directly im at mattnapa@aol.com. Hope to hear from you Matt
