Lewis Harrison( William was known as Lewis) was very "tight-lipped" about talking about his parents but one day sitting on the front porch talking with son, Leroy, he said they were illegitmate children (meaning W.L., Joshua & Mary). He knew his father was a 'SCOTT' but his mother kept her Harrison name. His father SCOTT fought in the Civil War in Kentucky and NC. W.L. said his great-grandmother was a full-blooded Cherokee Indian. Any information will revive me.
