Edward Shreve, he is 15 in the 1870 census listed with Thomas & Eliza, may have moved to Georgia to Texas & finally to Oaklahoma. David Shreve, married a Martha Eugenia LEE & has passed-away by the time the 1900 census is taken for Aunt Martha is listed in Crenshaw County with her Mama & her & David's children (Alice, Mary, Herman Evoy & Rufus L. Surnames: Taylor; Worley- Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/RS.2ADI/1600.1.2 Message Board Post: CORRECTION. the name "Byron" was my father. He was a son of James Wesley and Lucy ( Worley) Taylor, G-son of Grey Jerkin and Nancy Lavina Worley. He was born in Andalusia Alabama on 20 February, 1894. I am trying to find any known relative of James' other children after he left his family with Lucy's parents. There are several places where James Wesley is listed as father to other children. My grandfather was born 1865-1866. Daddy said 1865, but other places list 1866 as well. I have read that James has sons Marshall, Marion, Nealwood, maybe more that I have seen posted --anyone out there related to these individuals that will give information? Is your James the one that was married (either legally or otherwise) to Lucy Worley and had x-number of children? I found her in the 1900 census living with her parents Grey Jerkin and Nancy Lavina Worley, who raised my daddy, according to him, but there's a strange recording- Lucy goes by the last name of Worley, as her children ! are also listed, and it states there are 6 children, whereas I have only heard 4 names. Per census, included in the household are my grandmother Lucy age 24, and her children listed as related to Grey & Nancy : Willie, G-son 9; Sidney, G-son 7; Barron, ( My daddy Byron- you know how they spelled back then) G-son 5; Effie, G-dau 4; Eddie, G-son 2; Evie, G-dau 1. I have never heard of Sidney nor Eddie, and no one knows exactly what happened to Aunt Evie. My daddy said James was a full-blooded Indian, and in those days it was a shame to be any part Indian. If anyone has any info on any of these individuals that I have not contacted, please let me hear from you. There has been much mystery about the names, dates, places--name it and it's there. Thank you. Joanie Taylor Brown.
