I don't know the highway numbers...but if you go south from Brantley on U.S. 331, in about 6-7 miles (a guess), you'll come to the Rose Hill-Burnout road, turn right (this is the old 3-Notch Road. A few miles down the road you'll come to the Butler place, an impressive one-story house on the left, with a wrap-around porch on at least 2 sides, maybe 3. It's been a long time since I was down that way. Apparently, Cauleysville is/was around here. My guess is it's either County Road 46 or 62. For any of you who are interested in the Powell surname, I have recently completed a year of documentation of various families from Barbour, Bullock, Pike, Coffee, Dale, Geneva and Covington counties in Alabama, and some in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton and Holmes counties in Florida. These notes are located at http://home.comcast.net/~wildamurphy/powell/powell.htm . I would be interested in feedback if you find anything relevant to your own research or if you can add anything to tie up loose ends. Wilda Murphy

Mary Polly Parker married her cousin Samuel Parker II, who is the son of Elisha Parker, but was raised by John Parker and Sarah (Gordy)Parker. I believe Elisha Parker passed away early in Samuel's life. They had a son named John Parker Jr. who married Winnie Hunt. I have traced it from Tuscaloosa County to Covington, Crenshaw, Lowndes, and Pickens Counties. I have as far back as a John and Martha Schofield/Scofield who were born in South Carolina. They were in Pickens County in 1850; Lowndes County in 1860; and Crenshaw and Covington Counties in after that. My great great grandparents were William P Schofield and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Burghams. My great grandparents were Issac Newton Schofield and Willie Norma Garner. my great grandfather owned a dairy in Covington County before he moved the dairy to Tuscaloosa County. The Andalusia Newspaper is going to do an article on my Schofield line once I do some more work on it. I am working on untangling the Schofield tree in these counties and I'm going to donate the finished tree to the libraries in Crenshaw and Covington Counties. I have done a family tree starting with John and Martha Schofield on Ancestry.com. It is called the John Schofield Tree. Please take a look at it.
