Hi, everybody, I just joined this list today. Over the weekend, I received information on my grandparents - that they were married in Coosa County, AL in April 1869. I have no clue what they were doing there, why they went there to get married, how long they stayed or anything else. Their names were Susan A. Thomas and John Fleming Gilbert, both born in 1848 - Susan in Lincolin Co., GA and John in Tallapoosa Co., AL. I had assumed that they met in Tallapoosa Co., but they may not be necessarily true anymore. If anyone knows anything about these particular two people or their families, please let me know.
