    1. [ALCOOSA] Carmichael, Lessly, Clements
    2. The 1880 Coosa Co. AL census shows: Patrick T. CARMICHAEL (b. 5 Feb 1831 in SC), Patrick's wife Sarah J. LESSLEY (b. c1836 SC). They were married 1 Dec 1853 in Coweta Co.GA. Patrick died 13 Aug. 1888 and is buried in Mt. Olive Baptist Cemetery in Coosa Co. (David) Hansford CLEMMENS (sic), also living in this HH in 1880. David Hansford CLEMENTS was my g-gf. What was the relationship between the CLEMENTS, CARMICHAEL and LESSLEY families? In my database with no date: "Mssrs. CLEMENTS, CARMICHAEL and ALLRED from Coosa Co. were here visiting relatives" (Shelby County Reporter). Also in my database dated 7 Sept 1884: "Talladega Circuit, Liberty Hill Church, This is to certifie that N. M. (Noah) CLEMMENTS as acceptable member of the methodis proteston church being desirous of removing from this circuit is entitle to resins from the undersigned this certificate of his good standing (signed) P. T. CARMIKEL, Pastor, Talladega circuit" (this is copied as written and spelled). Hope to hear from anyone else researching these families and, in particular, the CLEMENTS family. Adrienne
