Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church in Hanover I know quite a bit about the old cemetery. What are you interested in? An old Primitive Baptist Church Circuit Preacher, the Rev. Robert Whatley "Robin" Carlisle and his family, are buried there. He is my 4th great-grandfather. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5R.2ADE/2382 Message Board Post: I am interested in finding anyone who knows about the Mt. Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church and Cemetary in Hanover, Coosa County on Highway 49. This church was still holding some services as late as 1910, though it seems to have fallen into disuse and been torn down shortly thereafter. There are many Fulmers, Cottons, Pates, Bentleys, Ashcrafts, and Carlisles buried there. ==== ALCOOSA Mailing List ==== NOTICE: Posting of virus warnings, test messages, chain letters, political announcements, current events, items for sale, personal messages, flames, etc. (in other words - spam) is NOT ALLOWED and will be grounds for removal.
