My ggggrandfather was Gilbert Chancellor,Al. We have been lead to believe that Jeremiah and William from S.C. moved with a clan from S.C. in 1818 to Al. We also believe that one of them could be the father of Gilbert Chancellor b.1785 in North or S.C. died june 25 ,1859 in Butler county,Al..If you have any info. that could clarify this it would help.
