    2. Caroline, Your Horton line wouldn't happen to be of the Shelby Co. Hortons would it? My maiden name was Horton. There were a couple of young fellows living with other Horton families in Shelby Co. in the 1860s who moved to another county, I'm thinking maybe Coosa. I'd have to check my records. Seems like one of them was James. Is the Horton name yours or your husbands? If you're like me, you have much more interest in your own family.
