    3. Nancy, P. O. Box 5, Rockford, AL, 35136 belongs to Mrs. Inez Selman Warren, Ben Carlton's 1st cousin. She is now in a nursing home, so I'm not sure if she still receives the mail sent to this p. o. box. I visited her in March. I know Miss Mavis well, as I grew up with her children. She is very knowledgeable. Her telephone number is (256) 377-4791. She just told me on the phone that the new address for her at the Coosa County Historical Society is P. O. Box 388, Rockford, AL, 35136. The Rt. 2 address is her old address, which was printed in the book, but is now obsolete. She says Ben Carlton's widow has turned over a considerable amount of his research to the Society, but not all. What has been donated is stored in the Society office in the rock building next to the Courthouse there in Rockford. Lisa E.     3. The Historical Society has several historical books for sale. There are 2 volumes of cemetery records for $20 each and a 3rd vol for $22 or all 3 for $55. Also, A history of Coosa County by George Brewer that is $20. Coosa County Marriages (1834-1865) by Edna McGalliard for $20. Then, there is the Heritage of Coosa County (Hard Cover) that contains over 600 family's stories, pictures, and topicals that is $65. The Historical Resource and Records Room in the Courthouse is open on Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 - 2:30.
