I have Bryant Smith and Lucinda York Smith living in Coosa County, in the 1850 and 1860 census. The rest of the family moved to Talladega and Clay County. The Smiths disappear after the 1850 census. Any help would be appreciated. Lucinda Smith was born in MO. Thank you. Cindy Siron

In 1850 Bryant Smith and family is listed as house # 516 in the lower (South) Coosa index. I believe in 1850 that included most of what is now Elmore County and down to about Wetumpka, the Hatchett Creek census was the North part of then Coosa County. I haven't seen a Bryant in my searches of North Coosa and South Talladega Counties.
