I am very interested in the Giles in this last posting. I notice that the first son born in this family was named Alexander (19). We have been searching for the parents of my Alexander Giles (1793-1873) married to Rachael Anderson of South Carolina. They lived in Washington County, Georgia. There was a Thomas Giles in that county who received a land grant in 1792. Do you know the name of the father, who was deceased I presume, who had married Emaline Matilda Presley? Two of Alexander Giles's sons were killed in the Civil War.....Calvin and Doctor Franklin. Patricia in Georgia
