Rockford, Ala. Born Sep. 30, 1834, in Wayne Co., TN. First entered the service as 2nd Sgt. in March 1862 at Loachapoka in Co. B. - 34th Ala. Reg. And continued until paroled at Talladega, Ala. at colse of war. Was wounded in Decanta (?) Fight near Atlanta and furloughed home - paroled at Talladega, Ala. Has papers. One source has his middle name as Isaac, while another has it as Isiah. At his time I am going to use Isaac, since it was recorded that way in the 1907 Census of Confederate Soldiers living in Coosa Co., AL.
