Hello Coosa County! I am researching James (Jim) Benjamin Bettis born 8 August about 1890. His parents were: Lee Bettis and Polly Arnold. The only information I have on Lee Bettis is that he was a Creek or Chreokee indian traveling through Alabama when he met Polly. The had two children together: Jim and Nancy Bettis between 1888 and 1900. I have located Polly on the Coosa County 1900 Census living in the household of her step-father J. B. Horsley and her mother Martha Arnold Horsley. Polly is listed as being a widow. I would appreciate any leads, even small ones. Lee Bettis is my brick wall. Looking for the Bettis' Sandy
