Sharon, I made a trip to Coosa County on Sunday afternoon. The old jail in Rockford, , is now a museum. They opened at 2-pm on Sunday for two hours. I found several books there, and the ladies are very interested in genealogy. During the week, the big nice courthouse will be open.I too, have a Willis-Posey marriage in Coosa County, in 1837. Thy lived in the Hatchett Creek area. I found several cemeteries. I went to the Sheriff's Dept. and looked at maps, and talked to them about the names of roads. Found them very friendly and they gave me a nice map of Coosa County there. I plan to go back when the courthouse is open. It is a nice scenic county.Beautiful rocks. Goodluck, Stella
