    1. [ALCOOSA] Johnson Family of Hatchet Creek in 1850

    3. Hi, I've just made a breakthrough to my Mary THOMAS who married Henry B. JOHNSON. She resides in Autauga County in 1840 when my Rev. Ancestor John THOMAS is enumerated with her on the Census of Rev. Soldiers in Alabama. There are Probate proceedings on her husband Henry B. JOHNSON in Autauga County. From these papers, I found the names of their children: David Johnson; Peyton Johnson; Joel P. Johnson, Emily Johnson; Adam G. Johnson; Gilbert H. Johnson. Here they are on the 1850 Census 1850 Coosa County, Alabama Census, Hatchet Creek District, page 89B, #38/38 JOHNSON, Joel P. 26 Farmer 500 AL Jane 21 AL Priscella 4 AL Abraham 1 AL Mary 47 GA Daniel 30 Farmer AL Emily 23 AL Adam 17 Farmer AL Gilbort 17 Farmer AL I had been reading the Joel P. as Jack P. and could not find him listed on an index anywhere but finally figured out that it was Joel P. and found the family; however, I can't find them in 1860. Does any one know anything about this JOHNSON family? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Willing to share my information for yours. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Irma J. Roy
