Hello- I would like to contact anyone on the Coosa County list that might know something about the Vandiver and Boley families from Shelby County, Alabama: My great-grandfather was Dr. William Constant VANDIVER, born 1856, son of James L. and Martha Ann Vandiver. He married Clara Iola BOLEY (born 1857) sometime before 1879. They lived in Vandiver, Alabama. Dr. Vandiver went to Mena, Arkansas sometime after 1891. Clara's children were: Lula A. Vandiver (b. 1879, married Edmond Salser). Ida Vandiver (married J. E. O'barr, 15 September 1897). Leila Iola Vandiver (b. 13 Jan. 1889, d. 11 Nov. 1971, married Arthur Lamar Williams). James Clyde Vandiver (b. 16 June 1891, d. 14 November 1940, married Nancy Frances Johnson). James Clyde was my grandfather. I would like to make contact with relatives of William Vandiver and Clara Boley, or anyone that might know some family history. I am also interested in the history of the Vandiver area.
