I have researched in Coosa County, Alabama for years for my relatives there. Individuals with the sames of Slaughter, Brown and Chatman married into my family which was primarily Hughes, Hancock and Dunn from Coosa, Tallapoosa, Clay and Talladega Counties. Not sure what type of glimpse you are looking for related to the area, but would be glad to help provide any insight I can share.
