1. Re: [ALCOOSA] Obit of a former Coosa County resident
    2. Evelyn, Thank you for the email you sent concerning your husband. I called my mother and she knew your husband and his family. She lived next to them in Mt. Olive. My mother, her 2 sisters, and her mother lived with her grandparents, James Arta & Missouri Elizabeth Taylor Carmichael there. My mother's father, William Edward Short of Walker Co, Alabama, died when she was 2 in 1928. Her mother, Kellye Carmichael Short, and her 2 sisters, Florine and Dorothy, moved in with them then. My mother, Willie Eris, was born in 1926 and remembers walking over to the Thomas house with her younger sister, Dorothy, to ask for sugar. We still go down to Mt. Olive to put flowers on her mother's, grandparents, and great-grandparents graves at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Sometimes we drive by her old house. Her grandfather build that house. She doesn't remember seeing the old Thomas house. Has it been torn down? Teresa Cunningham Birmingham, Al

**************************************
AOL now offers free email to everyone.
