Sarah Elizabeth Thompson was b. 28 Sep 1860 in Tallapoosa Co., Ala (their home area became Elmore Co., in 1866) to William D. Thompson and Nancy H. Rowe. In 1868 the William D. Thompson family and several others got up a wagon train headed to Texas. They got as far as Scott Co., Ms. before sickness, bad weather, and other problems forced them to stop. There, on 3 Oct 1882, Sarah Elizabeth Thompson married J.B. Blankenship. I only know of two of the children born to that marriage: an Archie Blankenship and an infant b. 3 Nov 1893. Sarah Elizabeth died 22 Jan 1894 and is buried at the Old Lebanon cemetery in Scott Co., Ms. Her tombstone says "Lizzie". I have an unverified note that says J.B. Blankenship lived Berarnavides, Tx. and had a son who lived Canton, Tx. My ancestor was also a descendent of William D. Thompson and Nancy H. Rowe, a younger brother to this Sarah Elizabeth Thompson whose name as Franklin Elmore Thompson b. 1866. Ray
