I am looking for anyone who has information on a Charlie White who lived in Coosa County. He was hung there for killing a man. I believe it was around 1915 in Rockford. I am searching the White, Morris, Dunnaway, and Butler families of Coosa County. I went to the courthouse there in Coosa County but no one there could help me find the records on Charlie White. If anyone can help me find this information i will be very grateful. I need information on when and where he was hung and where he was buried. Thank you in advance for anything, Rita
I have lots of data on the white family of GA/AL but not Charlie White ? Have you contacted Howard White of Tuscaloosa ?? he has more information on the White's than anyone I know of. The old Rockford Cemetery is just East of Rockford and a later cemetery is just West of Rockford on HWY 22. I've been through both but don't remember a seeing C. White.
