Question: Is this James Vansandt the father of Joseph B. (Joe) Vansandt who Married A. Frances (Minty) Castleberry ?? they also had a child named James who was born around 1870. My file on this surname has a lot of holes, but I have direct connections through the Castleberry's and Blankenship's to name a couple. Sue was born March 7, 1925 in Houston to the late Leo Francis and Icea Pearl Thornton Parker. A native Houstonian, she was a homemaker and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her grandparents were Mary Ann Dean Thornton and James Thomas Thornton of Alexander City, Alabama. She always put her family first and will be lovingly remembered and missed by all. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jack Wyatt Crosby, Jr. and a sister, Marilyn Harvell. Sue is survived by her children, Rebecca Graham and husband James, Peggy Beaird and husband Buddy, Scott Crosby and wife June, and Bruce Crosby and wife Ida; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Annetta Childress, Bernadine Turner, and Jean Mavis; brother, Leo Parker.
