John Rape came to Henry Co. GA. 1830. Peter Rape Born 1817 not certain he is he son of John born 1794. Peter Rape born 1817 Mecklinburg N.C. married Mary Riley born 1823 N.C. married Dec. 29. 1842 Henry Co. Ga. They moved to Coweta Co. Ga. had one child 1. William D. Rape, then move to Al. Randoph Co. before the 1850 census. Peter Rape brought 43 areas of land in 1858, and brought alot more land in Clay Co. 1860. I believe he served in the Civil War. enlisted in Cusseta, Al. then lost track of him. other children born in Al. 2.Charles Lloyd Rape born 1847 my g-grandfather died 25,May 1923 Clay Co. Al. but buried in Alexander City, Tallapoosa Co. Married Mary Cornelia Cox. 29 Nov. 1865 Talladega Co. Al. she was born 1848 S.C., she was the dau. of Fredrick Columbus Cox, and Milly unknown maiden name. One more thing about Peter and his family , it would seem that something may have happen to Peter , he may have died . But the next census on his children and wife was in 1870 in Coosa Co. Al. Most of this family moved to Tx. after the 1870 census. 3.Lorena Rape b:1850 died in Tx. 4.Nancy A. Rape b:1852 Al. 5.John F. Rape b:1855 Al. died in Tx. 6.James B.
