    3. Hi, everybody, I just joined this list today. Over the weekend, I received information on my grandparents - that they were married in Coosa County, AL in April 1869. I have no clue what they were doing there, why they went there to get married, how long they stayed or anything else. Their names were Susan A. Thomas and John Fleming Gilbert, both born in 1848 - Susan in Lincolin Co., GA and John in Tallapoosa Co., AL. I had assumed that they met in Tallapoosa Co., but they may not be necessarily true anymore. If anyone knows anything about these particular two people or their families, please let me know. Thanks in advance. Sue Howard [email protected]

    2. Barry Fox
    3. Looking for information on James Alexander MINOR, born about 1820 possibly in AL. James MINOR married Lucinda McCAIN in or shortly before 1850 in Coosa County. She was the daughter of Glover McCAIN and Abigail GOODMAN. James and Lucinda lived in Coosa County 1850-1860. The 1870 census lists James MINOR in Elmore county, and Autauga county in 1880. Whether he physically moved or the county lines changed is unknown. Abigail McCAIN is listed in Clay county in 1870. James and Lucinda MINOR had the following children: Sarah Jane, Lucinda Catherine, Mary E., James G., Thomas B., Mildred Jackson, John K., and William C. The 1880 Autauga County census lists the parents of James MINOR as being born in SC. I would like to find out who his parents were. I will be happy to share the information I have on the line of James and Lucinda McCAIN MINOR.
