    1. [ALCOOSA] Aut. Gen Society mtg/ field trip
    2. Caroline
    3. The Autauga Genealogical Society will meet this Sunday, September 21, at 2:00 p.m. at the Prattville Library. John Enslen, Attorney from Wetumpka, will speak on the Poarch Creek Indians. Anyone interested in genealogy is invited to attend - membership in the Autauga Genealogical Society is not required. We regret that we are unable to post or mail handouts. The Society has planned a field trip to the new Georgia State Archives at Morrow, Georgia, on Oct. 3-4. Participants may travel alone or may travel with a group which will meet at 7:30 a.m.- 8:00 a.m. in the parking lot behind Herrod's Chevron in Prattville (across from Prattville Baptist Hospital). We will spend Friday and Saturday researching at the Archives, returning late Saturday afternoon. Most of the group will stay at Days Inn - Southlake, 1599 Adamson Pkwy, Morrow, Georgia, ph. 770-961-6044 or 1-888-757-3297. This hotel is located within two miles of the Archives and offers a special "Georgia Archives" rate, $45.00 for the night, for those who request it. Each person is responsible for making hotel reservations. Please email Larry Caver at [email protected] if you plan to participate. He will have information about the research regulations at the Archives.

There are some at Talladega Springs Cemetery, South Talladega County on the way from Marble Valley Coosa to Fayetteville AL in Talladega County, but I don't remember a John G. 3. HI Lisa: I have a J.B. Morris b 3/18/1859, d 3/17/1940 and wife C.I at Weogufka First Baptist Cemetery Coosa County. Also there is a W.J. Morris b 6/26/1816, d 12/25/1908 and wife Epsie there. I don't have the dates but there are Morris' at Holly Springs which is near the Pine Grove cemetery, its not on the maps and there is another Pine Grove South Coosa also. The Morris' at Pine grove, Marble Valley, is Jesse P. b 1796 SC , d 1877 AL, wife Mary A. b 1797 SC, d 1877 AL. Son Allen E. b 1/5/1841, d 11/13/1862. The 1850 census list Jesse and Mary with children Jackson, Marion and Francis (M) all born in GA. I want to get back and photo the Pine Grove cemetery but its not been a good year weather wise, hope we have a better fall for genealogy research. I have a one page MS Word doc on the above Morris' that I can send to anyone who needs it. 2. Nova, Warrren and family were living in Coosa Cty (Wetumptka PO) in 1860. From 1855 to 1877 they had 9 children: John b1855, George b1856, Elbert b1860, Warren Jr. (My gfather b1862, Sarah, b1866, Wyatt b1867, Josephine b1873, Charles W. b1876 and Mary b1877. The family reappears in the 1870 and 1880 Carroll Cty , Ga. census I have not been able to find any record of children in Ala or Ga. The only true records I have are the marriage copies of Warren and Priscilla which Coosa Cty provided. We might be talking about two entirely different Morris families, but in those days, they were probably related. If you find any connection, please let me hear from you. Ennis
