WILNER QUIMBY ROBERTS Wilner Quimby Roberts, age 86, of Repton died Wednesday, September 29, 2004 in an Evergreen nursing home. She was born July 23, 1918 in Quitman, Miss. She was a homemaker and member of Springhaill Methodists Church in Repton. Funeral services were held Friday, october 1, 2004 at 11 a.m. from the Springhill Methodist Church with the Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, Cope Funeral home directing. Survivors include her husband, James Roberts, La-Grange, Ga.; one daughter, Georgia Berry, Bermuda; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. 2. BEN ELMER MCGRAW Ben Elmer McGraw, age 67, of Evergreen died Tuesday, October 5, 2004 in a Brewton hosptial. He was born May 1, 1937 in Brewton. He was self-employed as a logger. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 7, 2004 at 10 a.m. from the Chapel of Cope Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Renfore officiating. Burial will be in the New haven Cemetery, Cope Funeral Home directing. Survivors include his wife, Ardell McGraw, evergreen; two sons, James McGraw, Texas and melvin Mooney; Evergreen; one daughter, Linda Tatum, Montgomery; one brother, Allen mcGraw, montgomery; eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. 3. JERRY PAUL BLOCKER Jerry Paul Blocker, age 64, of Castleberry died Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at Santa Rosa medical Center after an extended illness. He was a native of Coffee County and a long time resident of Conecuh County. He was of the Baptist faith and was a retired electrician from the construction industry. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 2, 2004 at 11 a.m.from the Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Caylor officiating. Burial was in Buffington Cemetery in Castleberry, williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing. Survivors include one brother, Ron Blocker, Ft. Walton, Fla.; one sister, Dean Blocker(James Earl) Wolfe, Channelview, Texas; and a number of nieces , nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 4. BRUCE EDWARD HOWINGTON Bruce Edward Howington, age 48, of Rt. 4, Brewton died Thursday, September 30,2004 in a Brewton hospital. Mr. Howington was a native and life-long resident of Brewton and was a heavy equipment operator with the oil industry. He was also a farmer ans was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services were held Sunday, october 3, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Yuhasz officiating. Burial was in Catawba Springs Cemetery in Brewton, Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Brewton directing. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Lee Howington, Brewton; his mother, Sallie Howington, Brewton; one daughter, Michelle (Rodger) McClellan, Brewton; four brothers, Raymond Howington, Charles Howington and Cecil Howington, all of Brewton and Buddy Howington, D'Lo, Miss.; two sisters, Helen English, Pace, Fla. and Cathy Green, Flomaton; and one granddaughter, Haley White, Brewton. 5. LUCY MAE JACKSON BROWN Lucy Mae Jackson Brown , age 86, of Uriah died Saturday, October 2, 2004 in a Jackson hospital. She was a nation (?native) of Brooklyn and had lived in Monroe County for a nuber of years. She was a homemaker and a member of Grove Hill Baptist Church in Uriah, where she sang in the choir. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 9,2004 at 11 a.m. from the Grove Hill Baptist Church in Uriah with the Rev. T. L. Douglas officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, Jones Unity Funeral Home of Monroeville directing. Survivors include four sons, Clifford Jackson, Pensacola, Fla. ; Cklyde Jackson, Uriah, Willie L. Jackson and Johnny Jackson, both of Jackson; six daughters, Clara Vaughn, Mobile, Mazie Hinley and Lorine Stallworth, both of Uriah, margie Williams, Pensacola,Fla., Zelma Blackinship, Bay Minette, Dorothy Brown, mcIntosh; three stepsons, Leroy Brown and Ray Brown, both of Uriah and Ed Brown of Bay Minette; three stepdaughters, Essie Mae English, Mobile, Classie Mae Brown, Lathan and Mary Lee Tate, Mt. Rose, Mich.; one sister, Judgie Lee Davis , Pensacola, Fal.; 81 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
