He was 67 years of age and was a splendid citizen in his community. all of his 9 living children were at the home one week before his death and all were present at the burial except one daughter, Velma and her husband and two daughters-in-law. He leaves 9 children, 3 sons-in-law and 3 daughters-in-law and a widow and several grandchildren to mourn his loss.
