She was 77. Funeral services were held Tuesday, december 24, 2002 at 11 a.m. at Kilgore-Green Chapel in Jasper with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Donations shoud be made to the United Methodist Children's Home. Mrs. Roddam was dedicated to 43 hyears of teaching Home Economices, with 16 years of service in Walker County. She was an active member in the AEA, NEA, and the Houston County Kiwanis Club. She was a past presient of Delta Kappa Gamma. She was also an active member at the United Methodist Church in Castleberry , Clio and Dothan. Mrs. Roddam was in strumental in starting various cooking and sewing clubs in the Curry Community. She was preceded in death by her parents, A.A. Ellis and Jessie Weaver Ellis of Castleberry and a grandson, Henry Joseph Roddam of Troy. Survivors include her husband , John Dudley Roddam of Dothan and Montgomery; one son, Henry Johnhthan Roddam of Montgomery; one daughter, Marie Joanette Roddam of Miami, Fla; and a granddaughter, Victoria Windsor Marie Roddam of Montgomery; two sisters, Alice Ellis Salter of Atmore and Dorothy Ellis Pforte of Marianna, Fla.; three brothers, Harry and wife Betty Ellis of Evergreen, Dudley and wife Dorothy Ellis of Jasper and Eddie and wife Nancy Wllis of Walnut Hill, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
