She was born April 1, 1915 in Conecuh County to the late Charlie and Millie mcCants. She was the sixth of twelve children born to this union. AT an early age she accepted Christ and united with Belleville Baptist Church, later moving to Hamden Ridge Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member untill her death. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivey Fantroy, her parents, two sisters and six brothers. Funeral services were held Sunday, Decebmer 22, 2002 at 2 p.m. from Hamden Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Moses Stallworth officiating. Burial was in Jordan Memorial Gardens, Presley-Fluker Funeral Directors directing. Survivors include two daughters, Jacqueline Lowe, Manchester, Ga. and Reva McCreary, Evergreen; two sons, Lafayette (Christine) Fantroy and Ronald (Minnie) Fantroy, both of Evergreen; three sisters, Ollie Jenkins, Atlanta, Ga., Mattie (Sam) Gantt adn Bertha (Earlie) Thomas, both of Brewton; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and other relatives.
