Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 31, 2002, at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Cope Funeral Home. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Cope Funeral Home directing. Survivors include her husband, Doug Anthony, Evergreen; one son Mitchell Anthony, Evergreen; one daughter and son-in-law , Edith and Larry Morrison, Evergreen; tow brothers, Clifford Varner, Monroeville and Charles Varner, Tallassee; one sister, Ethel Mae Crawford, Montgomery; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren
