Hi John: Thank you for getting in touch. You are right. Haven't worked in that family in a while and sometimes mylame brain doesn't remember. My records are in stacks and stacks trying to keep them safe through hurricanes. Would love to have more to update the Johnson records. I published the first Johnson book way back about 1972 and then a small update later. Now needs another. At the time, I didn't seem to be able to locate any of Amanda Johnson Stokes' family. Papa had a good memory and knew the names of a couple of the group who went to Texas. I wrote and wrote - and that is how I found out about those of Amanda's family that went to the same area. Through Amanda Johnson Stokes (& my father), we have Salter ancestry from SC, through GA into Conecuh Co AL. Best wishes, Gertrude
