My gggrandfather was John G. Solomon who married Sarah A. (Godbold/Godbolt). John was born 3 January 1797, in South Carolina. Sons Robert and Tobias G. were born in South Carolina before the family moved to Monroe County, Alabama, about 1820. They lived at one time in Old Texas, Alabama. Their children:Robert married Sarah Marshall; Tobias Married Jane Minerva Goodwin and Rebecca J. Feat; Mary Carolina married Samuel Wright; Eliza Ann (my greatgrandmother ) married John W. Wright; John Abraham married Elizabeth Myrick; Sarah married Ruben Jasper Evers; Amanda Mariah married John W. Williamson; Ellen Elizabeth married James Luther Eddins; James Benjamin married Sarah Ann Grimes; Leonard Jordan married Virginia Stifflemire; William Thomas married Elizabeth Alice Mooney and Martha Jo Unknown and Levi D. married Nancy J. Mayo. With the help of many other researchers I have gathered together a good bit of in on this family. Mysteries are: parents of John G. and Sarah A., where they lived before moving to Monroe County, and info on their grandchildren's families.
