Also, there are several good websites that you can go online to check records; in addition to other researchers looking for the same families. Cemetery records are also available for many families, and we have those at the library, and also, you can find them listed online at many fine sites. Just to name a few websites: http://www.trackingyourroots.com and you can click on Conecuh or any of the other 67 counties in AL. Rootsweb, of course, and Genweb and many others, and also the State Archives site; perhaps you might need church records, and these can be found at several different repositories depending on the religious faith of your ancestors. Samford University in B'ham houses Baptist material, and Huntingdon College in Montgomery houses Methodist material--and there are others out ! there. I know for a fact that we have a history of the Garrison Dean family, and other info about these families.
