Mrs. barfield had resided in Grove Hill for the past five years, her husband---Archie N. Barfield--being a partner in a furniture store here. Surviving are her husband; three sons: Douglas, a student at Mississippi Southern College; Bill and Ed Barfield of Grove Hill; two daughters, Carol and Mary Ann of Grove Hill; parents, Mr. & Mrs. W. S. Griffin of Castleberry, Ala; one sister, Mrs. Louise Johnson of Brewton and one brother, W. C. Griffin of Spokane, Wash. Funeral services were held from the Grove Hill Baptist Church, Tuesday at 4 p.m. with the Rev. C. J. Granade officiating. Interment was in the Grove Hill Cemetery, with Woodson Funeral Home directing."
