I looked in the Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery listing and sure enough, there's a Allen H. STOKES, Co. G., 36 AL Infantry C.S.A. (no dates given). This cemetery is located just north of me, and there are several "old" families of Conecuh and Butler County, and Monroe buried there. I will look among the personal notes and papers we have in the library, and see if I can find more information for you, if you wish. The LEE connection --there are Lees buried at Olive Branch as well. If you wish, you may email me directly and we'll puzzle this one out together.
