He died 24 June 1924 and was buried at the Elwood Cemetery in Selmar Dallas County Alabama The Brislin Bros Funeral Home took care of the arrangements. Obituary :ERWIN ETHERIDGE DIES Erwin Etheridge age 72 died at 4:30pm Thursday at his home 28 Lavender Street, after a lengthy illness which had kept him practically bed-ridden for the past year. Services were held this afternoon from the residence by the Rev. J. M. Glenn pastor of the Alabama Ave. Methodist Church. Interment was made in Elmwood cemetery Surviving are the widow and two sons ans five daughters. This man and his wife are the parents of James Earl Etheridge who with his wife Jessie Irene Varner had eleven children ...most of whom grew up and live in Conecuh County to this day.
