The Johnson's William P. Johnston/ Johnson is family of William. The P is for Percy. When you see them there then gone. Try typing in Johnston then. And you will probley see them. If you run into something you cannot seem to find I will do my best to look see what I have on them if ya let me know.I have several that I am working on now, but I always keep my eyes out. There is also Gerorge Washington Johnson/Johnston. He is gonna be in the same family line too. Tips: Most the early reports on the Johnstons are Johnson. There are added the T on some and not others that I know as my family members. They in 1850 was listed as Johnson. Yet on 1900, Johnston, with Johnson. They way I get info with names of the family. I went to an Aunt of my sis and I's. Who shared with me all she could think of and I have searched and researched. I also found a will of William Johnston in some old family papers. The father I believe to William was James but I am still working on that area. As they are from England. And James was killed in England by a Cannon ball. His remains was brought to VA. by order of the Navy and buried. The Johnson/Johnstons then marry into the Cockechanged when coming to America to Cox. Some did some did not. So, that also leaves one with the same sort of issue in finding info on. I always try and verify what i send as Johnston, with family papers I have. Wills stuff like that.
