    2. I'm researching the BROOKS family of Butler, Conecuh, Monroe and surrounding counties. I'm looking into all BROOKS family ties, hoping to find clues to the parentage of my gg-gf Felix BROOKS (1807-1850). Horace D. BROOKS (grandson of Felix) married Ethel BRANTLEY Jan. 14, 1917 by F. M. FLETCHER (Conecuh County Marriages Vol 2) Butler County News 3-28-1918 from the Concord Dots column: Mrs. *W. H. BRANTLEY and daughter Mrs. Horace BROOKS spent Sunday with Mrs. Dave WALLACE. Horace D. BROOKS was my grandmother's first cousin. My mother told me that Ethel Brantley Brooks had a sister named Rosa and a brother named Braxton (called Buck).
