Lauderdale, FL, Sept. 29th while attempting to swim a canal with three of his shipmates. He was an employee on the dredge, "Federal". Telegraphic message to relatives from Capt. R.E. Shook, who is in command of the 'Federal' was received soon after the unfortunate occurrence. Pinkerton was reared in Georgiana and made his home there until a few months past. He was for a long time a valued employee of the Lime Cola Bottling Co. His untimely death will be hard with much regret in this section. Newspaper in Conecuh County, 6 Oct 1926
