I don't really need a copy of the license, but I appreciate the offer. Since you listed the marriage in your first posting as "Lafayette SALTER to Betty ANDRESS" under the title "Newspaper Accounts late 1800's," I'm assuming maybe there was an article about the marriage in a Dec. 1885 newspaper. I would like to read that one day. Next time I'm in Conecuh Co., I'll try to get to the library to look at the SALTER file. I was trying to determine if Bettie SALTER was related to her husband Thomas Lafayette SALTER. A descendant thought they were third cousins, but I did not have a link between their fathers in and was trying to find out if there was one. Thanks again for all your help.
