    2. I'm not sure if this is anything but if it is let me know and I will search more in depth! Know that I am not one to give up. We will find it if its out there! Joyce Andrew Jackson Pearson Andrew Jackson Pearson, born 4 September 1836, married first Mary Jane Ruby September 22, 1859 in Gallatin, Sumner County, Tennessee. Both were born in North Carolina, according to census records. Evidently they came to Tennessee before they were married, as the marriage license is filed in Sumner County, Tennessee. The children born to them were: Dora Alice Pearson, born February 07, 1861 Boy Pearson (apparently stillborn), born January 25, 1863 Joseph L. Pearson, born September 13, 1864. Since nothing is known about Joseph L. Pearson by Andrew's grandchildren, it is assumed he died as a child. Mary Jackson Pearson, born December 22, 1865 Thomas Frank Pearson, know as Tom, born November 07, 1867. Evidently, Mary Jane died shortly after the birth of Thomas. On June 18, 1868 he married Caroline "Carrie" Matilda Hollis, daughter of James Hollis and Elizabeth Frances Smith. They, too, were married in Sumner County, Tennessee, as proved by the marriage license and this agrees with the record in Andrew's Bible. They had only two sons, James A. Pearson, born in 1869 and William Nesbitt, born 9 August, 1870, in Simpson County, Kentucky. A. J. Pearson and M.J. Pearson was married 22 September 1859 A. J. 2. Thank you for all your efforts, Joyce. It means a lot to know that people are willing to help in any way they can. I was hoping to find that Jack W. Pearson's father was my missing Andrew Jackson Pearson, the son of William and Jane Pearson. I appreciate the link and will see what else I may find. I have found an Andrew Jackson Pearson in TX, but he appears to be born about 4 years after William died (1856). I did receive an e-mail from a great-neice of my Uncle Paul Pierson. It is wonderful to expand our extended families, isn't it? Again, I do appreciate your help, and hope maybe there will be someone out there who has a direct connection to these Pierson/Pearsons. 2. Does anyone know who the father of Jack W. Pearson 2/1/1887 - 10/15/1957, buried at the Hartwood Methodist Church Cemetery located near Range, AL, is? I am searching for descendants of William and Jane Pearson who appear on the 1850 Census for Conecuh Co in the Nathansville District....does anyone know where that district was located? William and Jane had 6 children. I know that William G. married Frances Jane Young and that Frances married Stephen Bedgood. I am fairly certain that our Martha married William Hardy. A Martha Pearson married William Hardy in Conecuh County July 4, 1894.... I still need proof that she was the daughter of William and Jane Pearson of the 1850 census. I also am searching for Nancy, Mary, and Jackson Pearson. Some of the descendants of these people changed the spelling to Pierson. I descend from William G. Pearson and Frances Jane Young (my ggrandparents)....their children spelled their last name Pierson.....their children were Leonora Pierson Williams, Paul Pierson, and Eula A. Pierson Gipson. I have quite a bit of information on William and Frances Jane's descendants that I will be happy to share. If anyone has any information on any of these people, please contact me. Thank you, J Price

Surnames: HENDRIX, BUTLER, GRACE, MIMS, SAWYER, BETTS Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4R.2ADE/972 Message Board Post: I am at a standstill researching my Conecuh County (Monroe County, too) roots...hopefully someone out there can help. Bear with me, this may ramble a bit: My 2nd gr grandmother, Caroline Grace, was married first to Henry Mims...they had four children...Sarah, Thomas, David, and Elizabeth...their daughter Sarah married James Piggot in about 1848...Caroline Mims married John Butler after Henry Mims died, probably between 1850 and 1855...John and Caroline Butler lived on her land in Conecuh Co., during which time my great-grandmother, Josephine (middle name probably Caroline) Butler was born in 1856. John Butler died about 1862, and in 1867 Caroline Butler married Nathan Hendrix (originally of Monroe County) in Conecuh Co. Nathan Hendrix had had a son named Richard by his first wife, thus Richard Hendrix and Josephine Butler were now step-brother and sister. As fate would have it, Richard and Josephine got married, and their daughter Corine Hendrix is my grandmother. My questions include: Did John and Caroline Butler have any other children? Did John Butler have any family in Conecuh? There are several Butlers around Conecuh County, but I've not been able to isolate my John Butler...I've found a few of the same name in Confederate Army units, but can't identify him as one of these soldiers, either (he would have been 30 or 31 at the outbreak of the war). Since I've not been able to locate a grave for John Butler, could he be buried in the Piggott Cemetery or another cemtery where Piggotts or Mims are buried? Caroline moved to Pensacola, FL and the last time I can locate her anywhere is 1898...I can't find her grave anywhere around Pensacola, so I wonder if she may have moved back to AL, where she died while living with one of her Mims children...thus, she might also be buried near a Mims or a Piggott or maybe even a Grace, which was a rather large family in Monroe County. Any info relating to ANY of this would be greatly appreciate! d!
