I do know that my relatives were slaves at Mount Pleasant as well as on the Swamp Plantation. I am trying to find estate papers, tax records, and any other form of documentation to substantiate my claim. I am not claiming that Burwell or his offspring fathered my ancetsors, but I do know they came with Starke Hunter and Elizabeth (Boykin) Hunter to Dallas County, Alabama and also in Wilcox and Conecuh County, which are also located in Alabama. My ancestors are listed in Burwell Boykin's papers where Thomas Whitaker, Samuel Boykin, and Starke Hunter are listed as Executors of his estate. The same ancetsors with more children are listed in Elizabeth Hunter's estate papers which clearly list names of Slaves that she inherited from her father. These slaves came with her and he husband to Alabama. If anyone of the Boykin descendants can point me in the right direction or send me copies of wills, tax records, letters, proof of sale, and any other documents, I would really appreciate the help. I have transcribed documents from the internet, but as we all know in genealogy, the originals have more merit. I just wnat to make sure I have the correct information regarding Burwell Boykin and his descendants. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!! Thanks in advance, Dante Eubanks
