Bell had a homestead near by and Jesse Bell had live in Dale Co. Al, but rumor has it he left Dale Co. to go live with Elijah Franklin Bell after 1880. There are some unmarked graves near Elijah Franklin Bell and Whitmell Bell has a oversize grave plat that would easy fit himself/wife and Jesse Bell and wife. 1. Re: [ALCONECU] Robertson/Robinson Marriages
2. Is of Madison, CO.. But, my family is of Conecuh CO. I do not limit my search just to there, cause they got around pretty good back then, not sure how ... lol. Then to is where was court houses etc. Some may too have had to go to another county for certain things etc etc. I have traced that my family came from VA. To NC, SC, AL. FL. Could limit it I suppose to one county. But as of yet have not ran into no one in my family roots that came and showed up in Just Conecuh CO.. Where, when did they marry, on the way to Conecuh CO. Etc. Etc. Consider too, Battle of Horseshoe Bend. Indians were coming back from none other than... Pensacola. Told yas them folks got around. Which stuns me. They had Feet-Horse and maybe buggy. One article that I especially found wonderfully cool. Conech CO. Rev Alexander Travis. 1842 Walked to appointments 35 Miles away!!!! When river was high he strapped saddle bags Swam to other side made his appointment on way back swam back home. Today, our kiddos, living a few blocks from school, they moan, groan complain and want treats for cleaning room. Walk to school FORGET it!! Don't do like I did, limit your search to one place only. You'll miss something. Our ancestors got around you hear me ... lol Joyce http://www.geocities.com/Coxfamilyinfo http://www.geocities.com/Alabamafamiliesandcounties
