I was looking only at Colbert and missed the family in Tish, Later on I found Dewey on the 1860 census for MS. I am trying to get a handle on all of the Heltons down in there. Do you have anything on Membrance Helton, Henry and Dicey Helton are brother and sister of his also? We may have a DNA test soon out of that line. Do you know anything about all of the Helton's out of a William over in Simpson Co. MS? In 1840 there are four families and you cant find them on ancestry and many other census lookups. You have to find them and look at the original records. Thankfully they all live close. I found some Cherokee Applications for William Joseph Helton b. 1799 in SC. He lived in Burnt Corn Monroe AL. I posted that information on the Helton Family Gen Forum. He had about 16 kids or more. Any help you might have post it and help some others. Thanks for being patient with me. I jumped the gun on this one. I was from TN and now live in TX. Why do they call you the TN hound dog? Mike Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
